RoboBattles competition

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA will host RoboBattles competition, scheduled to take place on March 1-3, 2019.

The competition is suitable for all students and does not require any programming experience, since everything is handled by the block-style programming environment.

In collaboration with the research team robotics4all, all contestants will have the opportunity to use intuitive and easy-to-learn software to get a taste of AI programming and robotics. Inspired by the legendary game of Pacman with a 'cops and robbers' twist, each team must develop a game strategy as pacman and ghost, collecting point and bonus cards. The aim of this competition is to remove all technical difficulties associated with robotics, and focus on logic and sound reasoning.

The strategies which can be implemented however are all but simplistic, since every command can be finely tuned with dozens of parameters.

Matches will be broadcast live from the robotics lab in Thessaloniki, where participants will see their own strategy come to life with actual robots.

The competition is organized by Presfhmmy4 with the support of IEEE NTUA SB.
