Thesis Title: Scattering of electromagnetic waves by turbulent structures in thermonuclear plasma

Abstract: Propagation of electromagnetic waves in magnetized plasma is of great importance in Technology of Controlled Thermonuclear Fusion. Electromagnetic waves emitted on purpose towards the plasma core, are being scattered by turbulent structures in the plasma edge, so that they are weakening. In order to face these effects, scattering of electromagnetic waves and gaussian beams by turbulent structures in the form of layers and cylinders consisting of plasma with different density from their ambient plasma is studied.
