Description

The course addresses the technology of telecommunication systems using fiber optics fibers. The topics covered are equally on the electromagnetic analysis of optical waveguides and the detection and processing theory of optical signals. Topics covered: Guiding of electromagnetic waves in planar dielectric waveguides, propagation in single and multi mode optical waveguides, dispersion phenomena, photo-detection of light pulses and analysis of dispersion phenomena and other phenomena. Design of digital and analog optical telecommunication methods. In parallel to theory simulation computations are implemented
