Physical Review Applied (PRApplied) is considered one of the most remarkable and prestigious journals in the field of applied physics worldwide. It is published by the American Physical Society (APS), one of the most respected organizations in the scientific community, and it is the closest to the engineering sciences among all APS journals.

The paper "Broadband homogeneous absorbers under visible light" is the first to be published in PRApplied by authors solely affiliated with the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). This work is the result of the diploma thesis of ECE student Dimitris Neroutsos, conducted under the supervision of ECE Assistant Professor Konstantinos Valagiannopoulos.
