Evangelos Spiliotis is an Assistant Professor at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and the Coordinator of the Forecasting & Strategy Unit of the Decision Support Systems Laboratory. He earned his Diploma–MSc from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NTUA in 2013 and his PhD degree on Forecasting Systems in 2017 from the same school. His research focuses on forecasting, decision support systems, machine learning, optimization, and energy analysis for smart energy management and conservation. He has participated in numerous European and national research & development projects in the field of decision support as a researcher, senior researcher or technical manager. He has co-authored over 80 publications in peer-reviewed international journals, conference proceedings, and books, with his work cited more than 7,000 times according to Google Scholar. He organized the M4, M5 and M6 international forecasting competitions and currently serves as an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Forecasting and Foresight: The International Journal of Applied Forecasting.
