Introduction to mathematical modeling and operations research. Categories of mathematical programming models. Linear programming and extensions. Decomposition, goal programming, parametric programming, duality theory and sensitivity analysis. Network programming and algorithms. Integer and mixed programming. Exercises and applications in GAMS (www.gams.com). Exercise for electricity system operation and capacity expansion.
