Description

Properties of multivalued complex functions and applications to the solution of differential and integral equations. Asymptotic methods: Laplace method, method of steepest descent, stationary phase. Applications to gamma functions, Bessel functions, Hankel functions, and to singular Fourier-type integrals. Calculation of integrals with a change of contour. Singular integral equations and applications. Poisson summation formula and asymptotic applications. Integral transforms (especially Mellin transform) and applications.
