Brief Biography


Professor Christos N. Capsalis, was born in 1956 in Nafplio. He obtained a Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in 1979 from the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of the NTUA, a BSc in Economics from the Department of Economic Sciences of the University of Athens in 1983 and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the NTUA in 1985. He is a Professor at the School Electrical and Computer Engineering of the NTUA and Director of the Wireless and Long Distance Communication Laboratory (WLDCL) of the same faculty, in which he teaches the courses of Antennas, Wireless links, Satellite Communications and EMC. His main research interests are Antennas, Wireless Connections, Electromagnetic Waves Propagation, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Wireless Resource Management, Wireless Network Design and Optimization and the study of Magnetic Fields of Space Missions. He has supervised over 20 PhD theses and over 200 Dissertations. He has conducted more than 250 publications in international journals and conferences, he has authored six books and has participated in over 50 scientific programs (projects).
