Dimitrios Tsoumakos

Brief Biography

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Informatics of the Ionian University. I am also collaborating with the Computing Systems Laboratory of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). I received my Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NTUA in 1999, then joined the graduate program in Computer Sciences at the University of Maryland in 2000, where I received my M.Sc. (2002) and Ph.D. (2006).

Research Interests

My research interests lie in the area of large-scale distributed systems and relate to management of Big Data and algorithmic/optimization aspects.
