Description
Numerical analysis and study of low frequency electromagnetic fields by using computer software. Application to the calculation of the performance and equivalent circuit parameters of electrical machines and transformers. Windings of alternating and direct current electrical machines. Evaluation of harmonic voltages and magnetomotive forces and their impact on the operation of electrical machines. Analytical calculation of magnetic circuits, saturation consideration, Carter coefficient, analysis of leakage flux. Determination of iron loss (eddy current and hysteresis) and copper loss (resistive and eddy current). Calculations of forces and torque. Thermal analysis, heating and cooling of electrical machines and transformers. Preliminary and critical design of electrical machines and transformers.
