Description
Technical characteristics of electric loads. Computation of power flows, voltages, power losses and energy losses in distribution networks with lumped and distributed loads. Voltage regulation. Computation of the hosting capacity (maximum power) of distributed generation that can be integrated in a distribution network. Optimal operation and planning of power distribution networks. Technologies, management, design and planning of smart distribution networks. Basic principles of modeling the reliability of operation of power distribution systems. Criterion of total loss of continuity. Computation of reliability indicators in radial distribution networks. Protection devices and effects of their failures. Effect of transferring loads on reliability. Standard of electricity supply to consumers: general, characteristic of medium voltage and low voltage power distribution systems, power quality.
