Brief Biography


Evgenia (Jenny) Adamopoulou received her Diploma (2005), as well as her Ph.D. degree in Mobile Communications (2009), from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). In 2012, she also received an M.B.A. in Techno-Economic Systems from the same institution. In 2021 she was elected member of the Laboratory Staff of the School of Electric and Computer Engineering while, since 2005, she has been working as a senior research associate in the Computer Networks Laboratory of NTUA and in the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems.

She has teaching experience in several academic Greek academic institutions including the National Technical University of Athens, the University of West Attica, the Hellenic Open University and other. She has participated in the Technical Program Committees of international conferences, and has served as a reviewer for top ranked scientific journals. She has authored over 140 publications in international journals and conferences, and has served as a project reviewer for the European Commission.

Research Interests

Her primary research interests include machine learning techniques and big data analytics, open data management systems, advanced telecommunication networks, intelligent transport systems, innovative ICT solutions for smart cities and sustainable development, pervasive computing technologies and applications, service customisation techniques etc. Since 2005, she has been actively involved in several European and national research projects in the aforementioned fields, where she has often assumed the role of dissemination manager and task leader.
