Description
Round-Off errors and computer arithmetic. Linear systems: Gauss elimination and LU methods, Norms, Stability of linear systems, Iterative methods, Jacobi, Gauss-Seidel and relaxation methods, Computation of eigenvalues and eigenvectors by the power method. Least-squares methods. Lagrange, Hermite and splines interpolation. Tapezoidal, Simpson, 3/8 and Gauss integration rules. Nonlinear algebraic equations: Bisection, Regulafalsi, Fixed-point iteration, Newton-Raphson and Secant methods. Nonlinear Systems of equations. Ordinary differential equations: Euler, Taylor, Runge-Kutta and Multistep methods, Introduction to finite difference methods.
