Description

Solution of Laplace and Helmholtz equations for the scalar electric/magnetic potential in different coordinate systems by separation of variables. Complex analytic functions, conformal mapping, solution of the two-dimensional Laplace equation using analytic complex functions. Green's functions, integral equations for the electromagnetic field and solution techniques (method of moments). Techniques for numerical solution of electromagnetic problems, introduction to methods for the discretization of partial differential equations (finite differences/elements).
