The team participating in #HackCoronaGreece consisted of: Dr Konstantia Zarkogianni (permanent teaching laboratory staff at BIOSIM), Kostas Mitsis (PhD candidate at BIOSIM), Charalampos Papakonstantinou (PhD candidate at AILS) and Maria Athanasiou (PhD candidate at BIOSIM).
Ioannis Tzachristas, an undergraduate student of ECE-NTUA, won a gold medal at the 3rd Open Mathematical Olympiad for University Students (IUHD).
The CALIPER project: Linking research and innovation for gender equality is an Horizon2020 Action that aims to support 7 Research Performing Organisations (RPOs) and 2 Research Funding Organisations (RFOs) across Europe to design, implement, evaluate and expand Gender Equality Plans (GEPs).

ChildRescue is an EU-funded research project under the Horizon 2020 program, which aims to reduce the time elapsed since the disappearance of a child and the time it is identified, using information prediction and disappearance prevention tools.
The Photonics Communications Research Laboratory (PCRL) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) coordinates the POETICS project (CoPackaging of Terabit direct-detection and coherent Optical Engines and switching circuits in mulTI-Chip moduleS for Datacenter networks and the 5G optical fronthaul).
ICCS/ECE-NTUA research Professor Georgios S. Stamatakos was elected a member of the three member Board of Trustees (BoT) of the international Virtual Physiological Human Institute (VPHi) on October 4, 2019. His election took place during the General Assembly of VPHi held in Paris.
The kick-off meeting of the project was held in Athens on 15th to 17th of January 2020 on the premises of the National Technical University of Athens hosted by the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory of ECE-NTUA and the Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS-NTUA).
