The EUSIPCO 2017 has been held with great success in the island of Kos from August 28 to September 2, 2017, at the Kos International Convention Center. EUSIPCO has been the flagship conference of the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP). The General Chairs, Prof. Petros Maragos (NTUA) and Prof. Sergios Theodoridis (UoA), supported by NTUA’s Institute of Communication and Computer Systems, led the organization of this significant international conference that combined a high-quality scientific content coupled with many networking opportunities and enjoyable social events.

EUSIPCO 2017 offered a comprehensive technical program addressing all the latest developments in research and technology for signal processing and its applications, particularly in these days that witness a dynamic growth of signal processing as an ever increasingly fundamental discipline, encompassing application areas ranging from communications to speech processing, from bioinformatics and image processing to big multimedia data and deep learning. The conference featured world-class speakers, oral and poster sessions, keynotes and plenaries, exhibitions, demonstrations, tutorials and satellite workshops, and it attracted many leading researchers and industry figures from all over the world. Approximately 800 participants attended the scientific and social program of EUSIPCO 2017, but also had the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of Kos and the surrounding islands of the Aegean.
