IMC (International Mathematics Competition for University Students) is a prestigious competition in which mathematical talented and oriented students from mathematical and technical universities from all over the world take part.

This year’s competition took place in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, from the 22nd to the 28th of July 2018.

A four-student NTUA team, consisting of Panagiotis Misiakos, Jason Milionis, Vasilis Goumas, and Fotis-Panagiotis Xintaropoulos, took part in this year’s mathematical competition and received two distinctions.

Specifically, the IMC 2018 winners are:

  • Panagiotis Misiakos, Bronze Medal.
  • Jason Milionis, Honorable Mention.

We would like to extend congratulations to this year’s winners on their success and their excellent and consistent work. It is worth mentioning that competitive standards among teams and individuals have become increasingly difficult in recent years. We’d also like to thank all the team members for their participation in the competition.
