Visit of students from Tsinghua University @Electric Systems Laboratory of ECE-NTUA


On the 22nd of August 2024, Chinese undergraduate and graduate students from Tsinghua University, which is ranked in no.20 in QS World University Rankings 2025, have visited the Electric Systems Laboratory at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.

During the visit, the laboratory infrastructure along with the current research and educational activities were highlighted. More specifically, the low voltage comprised of PVs, a small wind turbine and battery energy storage, the real time digital simulator for advanced simulations, the power electronic devices, smart meters and the 3d printer were presented. Afterwards, the attendees from China and Greece talked about their research areas and exchanged views, knowledge and best practices through fruitful discussions. Future research directions and planning of collaborative activities between the two universities were also determined. The visit was wrapped up in a restaurant close to the university, in which the visitors had the opportunity to taste some of the Greek delicacies and learn more about our country’s history.
