Analysis and Design of Structures
The Postgraduate Programme aims at providing specialized knowledge to qualified Civil Engineers, who are interested in studying further the field of structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, masonry structures and foundations under seismic excitation. Students will have the opportunity to study thoroughly the theoretical aspects as well as the engineering and technological innovations in the field.
The Programme aims at providing the required knowledge forunderstanding the underlying principles in Mechanics, Statics and Dynamics in relation with the current engineering practice implementing advanced methodologies for seismic design, repair and assessment on existing structures - including historical monuments or new constructions.
The Postgraduate Programmeconsistsof two directions:
- Structural Design and Analysis of Structure
- Analysis and Design of Earthquake Resistant Structures (fully taught in English language)
The Postgraduate Specialization Programme has a minimum duration of three semestersand is equivalent to 90 ECTS.
