Unveiling Bias in Artificial Intelligence (AI), on May 22, 2024, at 15:00
The Gender Equality Office of ECE NTUA, with the support of the Decision Support Systems Laboratory and the G-WISE Network (Greece – Women In STEM and Entrepreneurship) is organizing on Wednesday 22/05/2024, 15.00 – 17.00, Classroom 003, ECE New Buildings the event: "Unveiling Bias in Artificial Intelligence (AI)".
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a powerful technology, being used in many facets of our lives. However, bias in AI systems is becoming a bigger concern. Bias refers to the ability of AI to favor groups of individuals or make unfair conclusions, that may cause inequalities and unfavorable effects. To this end, main goal of the event is to present the following:
- Is there bias and/or fairness in the AI-driven algorithmic systems and applications?
- Are there ways to deal with bias in AI?
