Brief Biography


Michalis Giazitzoglou is a PhD candidate doing research in the areas of machine learning and knowledge representation and reasoning. Alongside his research he is working part time as a freelance data scientist. Previously, he had been involved in various projects of the Intelligent Systems, Content and Interaction Laboratory at the National Technical University of Athens, but mainly in the development of the WITH platform for the exploration of cultural heritage content, undertaking various backend developer tasks, in some of which he still participates. Before starting his PhD he had been self employed as a private tutor of university students, and had an internship at the division of economic research and forecasting of Eurobank EFG as a junior economic analyst. He holds a masters degree in Mathematical Modeling in Modern Technologies and the Economics from NTUA and a joint bachelors/masters degree from the School of Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences of NTUA.
