Description

The course will address specific issues of mobile and personal communications networks covering the following areas: Structure and organization of modern wireless networks δικτύων (3G, 4G, 5G). Resource management in wireless networks. Functional model and network architecture. Requirements for services and quality of service and quality of experience for users. Modeling and analysis of telecommunications traffic and user behavior. Network Functions (Call Acceptance Control, Traffic Control, Mobility Management, resource allocation, communication channel allocation algorithms, power transmission control, rate allocation). Study and evaluation of resource allocation techniques. Network capacity analysis and optimization. Design of cellular systems. Pricing and its role in network design and performance, issues of dynamic resource/spectrum allocation in wireless networks. Wireless networks without fixed infrastructure. Interface and synchronization topics for various wireless networks.
