ICCS/ECE-NTUA research Professor Georgios S. Stamatakos was elected a member of the three member Board of Trustees (BoT) of the international Virtual Physiological Human Institute (VPHi) on October 4, 2019. His election took place during the General Assembly of VPHi held in Paris.
The kick-off meeting of the project was held in Athens on 15th to 17th of January 2020 on the premises of the National Technical University of Athens hosted by the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory of ECE-NTUA and the Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS-NTUA).
On January 8, 2020, four distinguished ECE-NTUA alumni, Alexandros Dimakis, Manolis Zampetakis, Christos Tzamos and Constantinos (Costis) Daskalakis, spoke in front of a large audience at the Ceremonial Hall of the NTUA.
The School of ECE is pleased to announce that Professor Pavlos-Petros P. Sotiriadis is one of the seven members of the Hellenic Space Center’s Board of Directors for the term 2020-2025.
The Le Roi – NTUA Chess Club, which consists of volunteer students of the University, organized for the third consecutive year the 4th NTUA Chess Grand Final in cooperation with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the NTUA.

Radio & Satellite Communications Group of ECE-NTUA, led by Associate Professor Athanasios D. Panagopoulos, has participated with success in the European Space Agency’s Funded Project: Deep Space Optical Link Budget SW Tool.
The Intelligent Robotics and Automation Laboratory (IRAL) of ECE-NTUA has participated at the Vodafone Giga City 5G presentation event that took place at the city of Trikala on the 12th of December 2019.
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the NTUA in cooperation with experts of Siemens and the IEEE NTUA SB organized a workshop with the topic “Industry 4.0” on December 13, 2019. The workshop was a major success and the participants enjoyed the interactive workshop.
