Professor Ioannis Psarras is the Director of the Decision Support Systems Laboratory (DSSlab) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens and Director of the University Research Institute of Communication and Computer Systems. He teaches 8 undergraduate and 9 postgraduate courses, while under his supervision 22 PhD theses and numerous diploma theses have been successfully completed. His research interests are focused on the field of decision support systems with an emphasis on energy management, environment and information systems. He has more than 40 years of experience in managerial, consulting and technical positions in the energy sector. He has been a Team Coordinator in complex, international research and development projects funded by the European Commission in the areas of energy policy and markets, clean energy technologies, capacity building and training, decision support systems, project and program development and management. He has published more than 330 papers in international scientific journals and conference proceedings.
